MBBS Orientation Programme - 2024As a part of Curriculum NMC (National Medical Commission), CHRI organized a foundation course session: Demonstrate ability for accessing online Resources orientation program for the MBBS 2024-25 Batch. The main objective of the user orientation is to introduce the library facilities, resources, services and library techniques to the users. Library Book Exhibition CHRI –2024The CHRI Central Library has organized a “Book Exhibition” on 12th-15th October 2024 to educate students and faculty about the latest editions of books/titles based upon recent publications and trends with the permission of the Dean & Chairperson of the Library Advisory Committee in association with leading publishers / Distributors. The Book Exhibition provided a platform for students and faculty to interact with different publishers directly. Nearly 245 students, 100+ faculty, and parents have witnessed the book exhibition with great enthusiasm and interest. 3800+ books sold out of 5000+ books displayed. Oct 12, 2024 |

Library Orientation Programme –Law 2024-2025 BatchCARE – Central Library organized an Orientation Programme for educating newly admitted students from 2024-25t Batch Chettinad School of Law to library resources. CDJ Law Online Resources representatives were called to provide hands-on session for the students for better utilization of digital resources subscribed by the University. STUDENT INDUCTION PROGRAM- CARE 2024The Library Induction Programme was organized by CARE on 22.08.2024 at Mini-Auditorium Hall. The sessions were conducted by combining students of the 2024-2025 Batch from CHRI – Allied Health Sciences, Chettinad School of Physiotherapy, Chettinad School of Occupational Therapy, and Chettinad School of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Librarian Dr. Arumugam R presented a comprehensive overview of the Central Library, including its layout, various sections, and essential facilities. Students were guided on the procedures for accessing digital resources, e-books, and online databases through the library portal. The librarian highlighted subject-specific resources and services for each department, including journals, periodicals, and reference materials relevant to the academic curriculum. Library Book Exhibition - August 2024The purpose of conducting book exhibitions for years, they just finished school and come to college & don’t know the book list or bookstall and many of them came from remote areas either staying in a college hostel/outside. A book exhibition is organized by the Central library; the latest editions of the books by various publishers recommended by the Deans of the School of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy are brought for sale with maximum discount and displayed on college premises. How to Access CDJ Law Journals - Electronic ResourcesElectronic resources are becoming more and more imperative and valuable for the academic community especially for School of Law Students & faculty. CDJ Law Online databases representatives were called to provide hands on session to the students and faculty for better utilization of digital resources subscribed by the University. Users were also informed about the CDJ law online resources access by using our wifi inside the campus and user name password based access outside the campus (24X7). Webinar on availability of e-resources on PROQUESTA webinar was conducted on “HEALTH PREMIUM COLLECTIONS – PROQUEST ELECTRONIC RESOURCES AND DATABASES ACCESS METHODS” on 21.06.2021. The resource person was Mr. Srijith, Training & Consulting Partner of PROQUEST. This webinar was organized by the staff of the central library, CARE. Participants including students, faculty, and research scholars of CARE University attended the webinar. It was organized to address the requirements of academic learning and referencing during the pandemic period. At the end of the webinar lecture, the participants actively participated in the discussion and clarified their doubts. A total of 247 participants of CARE University attended the webinar.
