A nation can progress and attain higher development growth only when both men and women are entitled to equal opportunities. Women in the society are often hindered from obtaining equal rights in terms of health, education, decision-making and economic independence. Discrimination exists because of cultural differences, geographical differences, and gender. Chettinad Academy of Research and Education (CARE) follows the Saksham Guidelines of the UGC and has taken several steps to ensure safety and security of all the students and employees – in particular females – and has a sexual harassment policy in place with a

CARE prohibits ragging in any form in the campus as well as in any of the related establishments including the buses and extension counters. There is a well defined Anti-Ragging policy in place.
