The Student life at the Chettinad School of Law is centred on the shared enterprise of becoming lawyers and professionals. Through the variety of programs, the Law School provides support to students as they can select courses, seek work and internship opportunities and affiliate with student organizations that would advance their personal and professional goals and also create a network of colleagues and friends that will sustain them throughout their careers. Our community fosters a rare team spirit that permeates the law school and benefits from the diverse backgrounds and perspectives that a student must pursue as a law graduate. Apart from the classroom proceedings, the students participate in a variety of organizational events and activities, and take advantage of University’s diverse campus involving many outdoor activities in vibrant arts and cultural scenes.
The Chettinad School of Law’s dynamic, active and friendly community encourages improving the student’s individuality and solidarity. In-order to help the students to accumulate knowledge, the law school hosts several academic conferences, guest lectures, community services, legal aids and various social activities which enhances the legal minds of our academicians. During the course of the justice education, the Students voluntarily pledge to commit themselves to do pro bono work with organizations dedicated to help the communities to fulfill their various social issues. Those students who complete the pledge receive a notation on their transcript and are recognized at an annual celebration. A wealth of resources dedicated to academic excellence, professional development and physical and emotional wellness.
The Faculty community has taken a huge leap towards guiding the students with their away from home issues through their Faculty Connections program (Mentor-Mentee Program). The students are given the liberty to choose their desired faculty member who shares common interests. To be guided and get advice on course selection, career opportunities, and other areas of shared interests.
