Lecture halls have a seating capacity of 300 students, are air conditioned and adequately equipped with LCD projectors, biometric attendance recorders and all the state-of-the-art teaching aids. Smart Lecture halls with smart podia are available. Live video sharing facility of surgeries with students in the lecture halls is also facilitated.

The Demonstration halls can accommodate between 75 to 100 students each and are also air-conditioned and equipped with the LCD Projectors.

Practical Laboratory: All basic science departments, Nursing & Allied health sciences departments have well equipped and well-ventilated laboratories to provide the students hands on training in respective specialties.

Improvisations in teaching and advances in technology have led to the emergence of Clinical Skills Laboratories in medical education. They provide a controlled environment where the students can watch and practice their clinical skills before they are put to use inreal-life clinical practice. Students are also assessed before they are allowed to practice on real patients. Different types mannequins are available for the students to practice.

Most of the departments have a museum to store and exhibit their interesting cases, medical images, models and preserved specimens. These ensure that the students have a better understanding of the subject, in line with the concept of reinforcing and remembering what they learn by use of visual aids and also help develop their observational skills

CHRI proudly boasts of a Learning Management System, which has been developed in-house, for efficient learner management and evaluation. Faculty lectures are made available for anytime anywhere access to study material. Students can also post questions to the concerned faculty after the lectures have been conducted. All the medical undergraduate students are provided with laptops and wifi connectivity. In addition to this, computers are available in the central library which can be used by students for further studies and reference.

Spread over 32,000 square feet, the Central library at CHRI is an asset to the institution and serves to disseminate knowledge among the medical fraternity. It is well stocked with the latest text books, reference books, e books, journals and online journals, in order to keep the faculty and the students updated on the recent advances in their field.Virtual library with internet access, Medlar search facilities, media resource services, computerized database access and E-access are also available for journals and –e books

The central animal house attached to the department of Pharmacology is registered with CPCSEA and is well maintained, under the care of a competent veterinary medical officer thereby facilitating animal research.

A posh auditorium with a seating capacity of 500 participants and is used for conferences, CME programs and for integrated lecture sessions. This auditorium is well equipped with good quality acoustics, projectors and has provision for Wi-Fi access. The seats are comfortable and each seat is equipped with an inbuilt writing table.

The pride and the crown jewel of the Chettinad campus where many important programs have been hosted, such as the University convocation, inaugural events, cultural fests and proshows. Movies are also screened here at this auditorium, which has a seating capacity of 1200 people and is India’s numero uno in Interiors and has won many awards for acoustics. This auditorium is equipped with a 10,000 square feet Banquet hall and its own kitchen and is one of its kind.

The multi-specialty 1150 bed hospital with a plinth area of over 17 lakhs sq. ft. is sprawled over 100 acres of scenic campus in Kelambakkam. The lush green campus has more than 50% green cover and renewable energy sources, water recycling, vehicle free green zones, cycles and battery-operated vehicles for in-campus mobility making it eco-friendly. The self-contained wi-fi enabled campus houses the hospital, academic, administrative blocks, hostels, staff.

Campus security is ensured through turnstile, CCTV camera and access control at strategic locations.

Facilities are available for the physically challenged students to navigate with ease within the campus, which includes lifts, ramps, special designed restrooms and provision of wheelchairs to the needy. These facilities are available both in the college and hostel.

Broadband connectivity is available throughout the day within the campus. The entire campus is a Wi-Fi enabled. All the medical students are provided with laptop

The organization provides healthcare facilities to each student including “preventive, curative and palliative interventions”. On admission, each student will undergo a medical examination. Annual health checkup is being carried out as a routine. The students are immunized against infectious diseases as and when required.

The University offers a comfortable living accommodation within the campus, with separate hostels for boys and girls. The hostel mess provides hygienic multi cuisine to suit diverse tastes and preferences, truly making it a home away from home. The students are provided with WiFi connectivity in every room.

To encourage extra-curricular activities and to ensure a healthy, stress-free life, the University has made sincere efforts to build several sports facilities for the students. At present the Institute has a basketball court, cricket ground, tennis court, football ground as well as facilities for indoor games namely chess, carom, table tennis and badminton. There are two ultra-modern indoor stadia. A swimming pool with life guards is available in the boys’ hostel campus.

The Chettinad Sports training facility aims to help players improve their sports skills and participate in competitive tournaments in College & at University level. The facility has equipment to provide cost effective training to players to improve their performances.

The campus houses a food court,which serves a variety of hygienic and qualityfood, for the students and staff. It also has abakery, Ice cream parlour, fruit juice shopand cafe coffee day.

The campus houses an Extension counter of the Axis Bank, for use by the students and staff. In addition, HDFC and ICICI bank ATMs are available within the hospital and in the college campus, which can be utilized by the patients, staff and students.

Laundry Services are available in both the hostels and in the food court complex, which canbe availed by the staff and students

The drinking water requirements of the campus, including the residents is met with by the RO water plant. A 5 KL / Hr. RO Plant operates in ourcampus and around 750 bubble top bottles are bottled in this plant for use within the premises.
