The Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai has started a Library e-Consortium connecting the Government and Private Medical, Dental, Pharmacy and Nursing institutions.

The major goal of the Library consortia is to provide interactive information services to the faculties and students. Accessing information resources and services through one unified portal would help the affiliated institutions libraries to eliminate the overlap and duplication of resources and efforts, which would facilitate optimum methods for effectively and efficiently using the allocated resources.

The e-Consortium provides access to more number of electronic resources at substantially lower cost; thus sharing the e-resources, enabling to improved quality of services by enhancing their collection and increasing access to their faculties and students.

The students of our affiliated institutions need to rely on the journal articles, research reports, conference proceedings etc. for their thesis work and also for other projects.

The students can access the e-resources through e-Consortium of the University anywhere 24x7x365 days by using their Username and Password through the software “EzProxy”.

By starting a Library e-consortium, the aim and objectives of Health Education may be well achieved and it will serve as a great boon to the faculties, students and research scholars as well.
