As part of its commitment to make quality healthcare accessible to all, CHRI offers outpatient services free of cost across medical disciplines. Many patients from nearby communities make use of our Out Patient (OP) clinics each day. There are no consultation charges. OP cards are issued at the main registration counter in Block A. Simple registration process coupled with friendly and helpful personnel at the registration desk guide the patients all through their registration and consultation, making it an easy process for the patients. CHRI also offer fast track OP clinics for a nominal fee and round-the-clock specialist services that are available through the Emergency & Trauma Care departments and Zero Delay Ward

Other Departments CFCM – Chettinad free Community Medicine

In adherence to the philanthropic tradition of the Chettinad family a free OP block functions at CHC campus. This Outpatient department at CFCM provides free medical examination and baseline laboratory and radiological investigations for the underprivileged patients hailing from nearby villages. Free food and transportation are also provided to the patients.

Urban Health Centre, Karapakkam

The Chettinad Urban Health Training Centre is located at Karapakkam, and covers a total of five field practice areas of Thoraipakkam, Shollinganallur, Injamabakkam, Semmenchery and Karapakkam. It covers a population of 1,61,311 over a 10 km radius. Through the UHTC, general medical care as well as specialist care is provided to the people. Our curative services include that of General OPD, Specialty consultation, Laboratory, Day Care and Referral Services. Our Preventive Services comprises of Field visits, Health education sessions, Health day celebrations and collaboration with the Chennai Corporation.

Rural Health Centre – Located at Poonjeri

The rural health centre at Poonjeri is located about one kilometre away from Mahabalipuram on the East Coast Road (ECR) and 20 kms away from the Kalpakkam Nuclear Power Station, which is is accessible to many villages situated on ECR to Old Mahabalipuram Road. It provides preventive, promotive and curative health care services to the rural population and functions all through 24 hours of the day.This centre covers 2 blocks under Kanchipuram district, Tamilnadu i.eThiruporur and Thirukalukundram. It caters about 12 villages belonging to the respective blocks with a total population of about 40,000 people.
